Romeo Hotel
Dark, art-hung rooms behind big windows, with the Capri ferries pulling out below and Vesuvius on the horizon.
From the window you watch the ferries back away from the quay and turn towards Capri and Sorrento. Further out, Vesuvius sits over the bay. Inside, the room is all dark tones, art on the walls and glass from floor to ceiling.
Romeo is the modern exception in a city built of old palazzi. The building is glass and steel, and up at the top you find a spa and a restaurant with the harbour spread out below. It works as well for a night before an island trip as for a longer stay.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Romeo Hotel
We picked it as the design choice in Naples and the obvious base if you are travelling on by boat. Couples and business travellers who prefer clean lines to frescoes will feel at home, and the spa is a good place to end a hot day.
The road in front of the port is wide and heavy with traffic, and the streets around it lack the atmosphere of the seafront or the old town. If you want to step out into piazzas and trattorias, Chiaia or the centro storico is a better fit.
What you get
- Spa on the upper floors
- Restaurant at the top of the building
- Ferries to Capri and Sorrento close by
- Design rooms with art and large windows
- Views over the harbour or Vesuvius

Open in MapsQuestions about Romeo Hotel
Is Romeo Hotel close to the Capri ferries?
Yes. The hotel faces the harbour, a few steps from where boats leave for Capri and Sorrento, so you can walk to an early departure.
Does Romeo Hotel have a spa?
Yes. The spa is on the upper floors, along with a restaurant, and both look out over the harbour.
What is the area around Romeo Hotel like?
It is a working port with a busy road outside. The atmosphere is more functional than the seafront, so most guests head into the old town or Chiaia for evenings.
