Brooks Hotel
Step out of the front door and the first flat white of the day is a few doors away, on one of the best coffee streets in Dublin.
Drury Street is a short lane of cafés, delis and small shops one block behind Grafton Street. Brooks sits halfway along it, a family-owned hotel in a part of town where most of the big names belong to groups.
Inside it is traditional: dark wood, deep carpets, a reception run by staff who know the house well. Many of them have been there a long time, and that continuity is a large part of why guests come back.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Brooks Hotel
We like Brooks for being independent in a location dominated by larger hotels. You get personal service, a central address and a rate that is usually kinder than at the grander places a few streets away.
The rooms are on the compact side, and the decor is classic rather than fresh. If you need space for big suitcases or want contemporary design, The Westbury or The Mayson will suit you better.
What you get
- Long-serving, personal front desk
- Coffee bars on the doorstep
- Traditional rooms with dark wood
- Restaurants on the lanes around

Our editors pick every hotel themselves, and most of them we have stayed at. No hotel can pay to be included or ranked higher. When you book through our links, Hotels.com pays Picolo a small commission. It never changes the price you pay, and it never decides what we write.
