Mandarin Oriental The Landmark

  • Central
  • Large rooms
  • Big spa
  • Fine dining
  • Soho nearby

Step out of the lift and you are in the heart of Central, with Hong Kong’s best restaurants, bars and boutiques all within a few streets.

Below the hotel, the Landmark mall hums with luxury shoppers. Upstairs it is quieter than you expect, because the hotel is small for this city and the rooms are generous in size.

There is a big spa for recovering from long days, and the restaurants are among the best in Central. Lan Kwai Fong and the hillside lanes of Soho start a few minutes uphill.

Picolo’s verdict

Why we chose Mandarin Oriental The Landmark

This is our choice in Central. Nowhere else puts the city’s dining, nightlife and shopping this close, and the rooms are large enough to feel like a retreat when you get back.

There is no harbour view, and the surroundings are offices and malls rather than water. If the skyline is the reason you came, the Four Seasons a few blocks away delivers that instead.

What you get

How big are the rooms at Mandarin Oriental The Landmark?

The rooms are large by Hong Kong standards, as the hotel has relatively few of them for a city centre property.

How do I get from Mandarin Oriental The Landmark to Soho?

Walk a few minutes to the Central to Mid-Levels escalators and ride them uphill into Soho’s restaurants and bars.
