Island Shangri-La
High above the Pacific Place mall, big windows open onto either the harbour or the green hills, depending on which side you choose.
Pick your side. One half of the hotel looks across Victoria Harbour, the other up towards the steep green mountains behind the city. Both views come with plenty of room to enjoy them.
The hotel stands on top of Pacific Place, and the metro is directly beneath, so getting around is easy in any weather. A big outdoor pool and several restaurants keep you busy between outings.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Island Shangri-La
We picked it for space. Rooms and suites here are larger than most in the city, and Admiralty sits neatly between Central and Wan Chai, with Hong Kong Park just behind.
It is a large hotel tied to a busy mall, so it can feel corporate. If you want street life and small bars outside the door, Central or Soho will suit you better.
