Cortiina
Step off Marienplatz into a side street and the noise drops away: pale timber, stone floors and a bar where locals stop after work.
At six in the evening the bar downstairs fills with people from the offices and shops around, and it feels more like a neighbourhood spot than a hotel lobby. Upstairs, the rooms are finished in light wood, stone and soft textiles.
Marienplatz and the town hall are a minute or two away, yet the street itself is quiet. It is the kind of place where you drop your bag, head out and come back late to a calm, well-made room.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Cortiina
We chose Cortiina for travellers who want to be in the very centre without the scale of a grand hotel. It is personal, thoughtfully designed and easy to love for a short city break.
Rooms are well planned but not spacious, and there is no spa or pool. If you want a hotel to spend time in, look at The Charles or Bayerischer Hof instead.

Does Cortiina have a spa or pool?
No. Cortiina is a small hotel without a spa or pool, so it suits guests who plan to be out exploring Munich most of the day.
How central is Cortiina?
Very. The hotel lies a minute’s walk from Marienplatz, so most of the old town is within a few minutes on foot.
Are the rooms at Cortiina large?
They are calm and cleverly laid out, but on the compact side. Choose a bigger room category if you need space.
