25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin
Hammocks swing in the lobby, the zoo spreads out below one side of the building and the Monkey Bar looks across Tiergarten from the tenth floor.
Pick your side: one set of rooms looks down into the Zoologischer Garten, the other towards the Gedächtniskirche and the city. The hotel occupies the upper storeys of Bikini Berlin, a shopping arcade from the post-war years that has been given a second life.
Downstairs there is a bakery, hammocks in the lobby and bikes you can borrow. Up on the tenth floor, the Monkey Bar draws a crowd for its view over Tiergarten, and Zoologischer Garten station next door links S-Bahn and U-Bahn lines.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin
We chose it for travellers who want fun and good connections without paying Ku’damm prices. It is relaxed, easy for getting around, and the rooftop bar is one of the city’s favourites.
The Monkey Bar is busy most evenings, and the lobby is rarely quiet. If you want a hushed, formal hotel, this is the wrong address, and Das Stue on the other side of the zoo may suit you better.
What you get
