We like the Sofitel for travellers who want an easy arrival and a proper beach. The snorkelling in front of the resort is good enough that many guests barely leave the lagoon.
If you have seen pictures of Bora Bora, adjust your expectations. The bungalows here are plainer, and the resort trades polish for location. Choose it for the beach and the easy logistics, not for luxury details.
