InterContinental Resort Tahiti
Minutes after landing you can be by the pool, looking across the water at the jagged outline of Moorea.
Flights into Papeete tend to arrive in the small hours, and this is where the drive ends almost as soon as it begins. By breakfast you are by the pool, with Moorea's peaks rising out of the sea on the horizon.
The resort has its own lagoon, where fish gather around the coral, and a row of bungalows standing over the water. It is a big place, built to welcome travellers at the start and end of their island trips.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose InterContinental Resort Tahiti
We recommend it for the night you land and the night you leave. Most long-haul flights to and from Tahiti come and go at awkward hours, and being this close to the terminal takes the strain out of both.
It is large and busy, and it feels like it. Do not plan a whole holiday here: treat it as a soft landing, then move on to Moorea or Bora Bora for the quieter island days.
