Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora
Overwater bungalows lined up on the eastern lagoon, each one angled towards the dark peak of Otemanu across the turquoise water.
Slide open the deck doors and Otemanu, the old volcanic peak at the heart of Bora Bora, fills the view. Four Seasons is built on a motu, one of the low coral islets that ring the lagoon, on the eastern side facing the mountain.
Guests get a protected lagoon of their own, where coral and reef fish start a few strokes from the sand. A marine centre on site explains what you are seeing, and a large pool looks out to the open ocean.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora
This is our honeymoon choice. The view of Otemanu from the bungalows is the one people picture when they think of Bora Bora, and the service matches the setting.
You pay for it. This is one of the priciest stays anywhere in the Pacific, and meals add up fast on a motu with no shops nearby. If the budget is tight, the bill will follow you home.
What you get
- Overwater bungalows facing Otemanu
- Private coral lagoon for snorkelling
- Beach villas with their own pool
- Large pool facing the ocean
- Attentive service

Open in MapsQuestions about Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora
Do the bungalows at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora face Otemanu?
Many do, and that view is the main reason to stay. Ask for a mountain-view bungalow when you book, as some face the reef or the ocean instead.
Can you snorkel at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora?
Yes. The resort has its own sheltered lagoon with coral and fish, and the marine centre can tell you what lives there.
Is Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora good for families?
It works well. Beach villas with their own pool give families more space than an overwater bungalow, and the calm lagoon suits children.
