Hôtel Le Negresco
The Belle Époque hotel with the pink dome on the Promenade des Anglais, where the corridors double as an art collection.
The Negresco opened in 1913, and its pink and green dome has been the signature of the Promenade des Anglais ever since. It faces the Baie des Anges, the wide bay that curves along the front of Nice.
Indoors, the hotel is a museum you can sleep in. Paintings, sculpture and antique furniture line the salons and corridors, and each room is styled on its own, so the décor can jump from one century to the next.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Hôtel Le Negresco
We picked the Negresco for anyone who wants the Riviera of old at its most theatrical. The building, the art and the doormen in uniform make a stay feel like an occasion, and the sea is just across the road.
There is no swimming pool, and the busy promenade road runs in front of the hotel. If you want a sleek modern room and a pool for lazy afternoons, choose another seafront hotel.
What you get
