Hotel Indigo Helsinki Boulevard
A bright, modern hotel on a tree-lined boulevard, in the part of the Design District where Helsinki does its everyday shopping and eating.
Bulevardi is one of Helsinki's broad, tree-lined streets, and on a Saturday morning it belongs to locals: dog walkers, cyclists, people carrying bread home. Hotel Indigo sits right in the middle of it, in the western corner of the Design District.
Inside it is light and contemporary, with patterns and references drawn from the streets outside. The Esplanadi lies one way, the sea and the old market hall at Hietalahti the other, and the Kamppi centre with its buses and metro is close by.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Hotel Indigo Helsinki Boulevard
We chose Indigo for travellers who want reliable modern comfort in a real neighbourhood rather than on a tourist strip. It is a sensible base for a first or second visit, with good transport links and plenty of places to eat within a few blocks.
It is part of an international brand, and it shows in places. If you want a hotel with a strong personality of its own, the smaller independents in the Design District will give you more to remember.
