Schlössle Hotel
Behind heavy wooden doors near Town Hall Square, the fire is lit in the lounge and the rooms still carry their old timber beams.
On a snowy evening the lanes around Town Hall Square go quiet early, and Schlössle feels made for it. The heavy doors close behind you, and the lounge has a fire going.
This is a medieval building with old beams in the rooms and a dark, calm interior. Everything the Old Town has to offer lies within a few minutes, including the restaurants around the square.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Schlössle Hotel
We chose Schlössle for the atmosphere. Few hotels let you sleep this deep inside the medieval town, and in winter, with the fire burning downstairs, it is hard to beat.
The look is dark and traditional. If you prefer bright, modern rooms and big windows, you will be happier at Swissôtel or another hotel in the newer centre.
