Zemi Miches Punta Cana Resort
Low buildings of wood and stone among the palms, green hills at your back and a long, empty beach on the far side of the pool.
In Miches the hills come almost down to the sea, and the beach in front of Zemi stretches away with few other buildings in sight. It is a very different picture from the resort strip around Punta Cana.
Zemi belongs to Hilton's Curio Collection and runs on an all-inclusive basis. The buildings are kept low and made with natural materials, so the palms, not the hotel, set the skyline. It feels more like a coastal village than a resort block.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Zemi Miches Punta Cana Resort
We chose Zemi for travellers who want the ease of all-inclusive but would rather look at hills and palms than at the next resort. The beach here is among the most beautiful in the country.
Getting here takes time: count on about two hours by road from Punta Cana airport. There is little nightlife or village life within reach, so evenings are spent at the resort.
What you get
- Long beach in front of the resort
- Pool facing the bay
- All meals included
- Low buildings among the palms
- About two hours from Punta Cana airport
A day at Zemi Miches Punta Cana Resort
- Morning
- A walk along the beach with the hills catching the first light.
- Midday
- A swim in the bay, then lunch without looking at the bill.
- Afternoon
- Shade under the palms during the hottest hours.
- Evening
- A drink by the pool as the evening light turns the bay gold.

Is Zemi Miches Punta Cana Resort actually in Punta Cana?
No. Despite the name it is in Miches, on the north-east coast, roughly two hours by car from Punta Cana airport, so plan the transfer in advance.
Is Zemi Miches all-inclusive?
Yes. Food and drink are included in the price, as at most large resorts in the Dominican Republic, which helps since there is little to eat nearby.
Is there much to do outside Zemi Miches in the evening?
Not much. Miches is a quiet, rural part of the coast, so most guests spend their evenings at the resort itself, by the pool or at dinner.
