Ventana Hotel Prague
The astronomical clock chimes just round the corner, and you are first onto Old Town Square while everyone else is still at breakfast.
Open the window early and you can hear the clock on Old Town Square marking the hour. Ventana sits on Celetná, the old royal route between the square and the Powder Tower, close enough to be on the square in a minute.
Inside, the hotel is small and warm, with tall windows and a library lounge that becomes a retreat when Celetná fills up in the afternoon. Rooms towards the courtyard are the quietest.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Ventana Hotel Prague
We chose Ventana for travellers who want to live in the historic heart of Prague and make the most of the hours before the crowds. Few hotels put you this close to Old Town Square.
Celetná is one of the busiest streets in the city by day, and you will step straight into it. If crowds wear you down, you will be happier in Malá Strana or a quieter corner of the Old Town.
