Hotel Residence Agnes
A courtyard hotel on a lane that tourists rarely find, five minutes from Old Town Square and with breakfast brought to your table.
Haštalská feels like a different city from the lanes around Old Town Square, even though the square is only a few minutes away. The street runs through the northern part of the Old Town, close to the medieval Convent of St Agnes, and in the evening it is almost silent.
The hotel fills an old building around an inner courtyard. With only a modest number of rooms, the staff get to know their guests, and breakfast is ordered and served at the table instead of from a buffet.

Why we chose Hotel Residence Agnes
This is our pick for a first trip to Prague. You get the Old Town on foot in every direction, Charles Bridge within ten minutes, and a quiet night’s sleep that most central hotels cannot promise.
It is a residence, not a resort. You will find no bar, spa or room service here, and if those matter, choose one of the larger hotels on our Prague list instead.
What you get
- Old building with an inner courtyard
