Picolo recommends · Hotel in St. George's, Bermuda
St. Regis Bermuda
A new luxury hotel right on the sand, with the narrow lanes and old forts of St. George's close enough to reach on foot or by bike.
The water off this beach is so clear you can see the ripples in the sand below. The St. Regis is among the island's newest luxury hotels, with two outdoor pools, cabanas for the hottest hours and a terrace looking out to sea.
Behind it lies St. George's, the old colonial town at the eastern end of Bermuda and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its lanes, churches and forts are an easy walk or bike ride, so history and swimming fit into the same day.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose St. Regis Bermuda
We chose the St. Regis because it pairs a proper beach resort with one of the most interesting small towns in the Atlantic. You get modern comfort, a spa and the sea, plus centuries of history down the road.
St. George's is at the far end of the island from the south shore beaches and from Hamilton. If you want to explore the whole of Bermuda, expect long rides, and the eastern end can feel quiet after dark.
