Hamilton Princess and Beach Club
A pink grande dame on Hamilton harbour, with serious modern art in the corridors and a beach club on the south shore for swimming.
Boats nudge the marina below while the pink facade glows in the late sun. Hamilton Princess has been part of the harbour view since 1885, and in the garden stands a moongate, the stone arch that Bermudian couples walk through for luck.
Inside, the hotel holds a large collection of modern art, which turns the walk to breakfast into a small gallery visit. There is a pool and a spa on site, and when you want sand, the hotel's beach club on the south shore takes care of it.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Hamilton Princess and Beach Club
We chose Hamilton Princess as our base in town. You can walk to the restaurants and the ferry terminal, yet still spend the afternoon by a pool or at the beach club, which few hotels in Hamilton can offer.
It is a large hotel on a working harbour, so it rarely feels intimate. And the beach is not on the doorstep: the beach club is on the south shore, so a beach day means a transfer.
