Hotel Le Plaza
Chandeliers, marble and a theatre salon that still puts on events: a 1930s grand hotel with rooms big enough to unpack properly.
Walk through the revolving door and the lobby glitters: polished marble underfoot, chandeliers overhead and the hum of a hotel built for an age of steamer trunks. Le Plaza opened in the 1930s and still keeps its theatre salon in use.
The rooms follow the same classic style and are generous in size. Outside, Boulevard Adolphe Max carries traffic through the northern part of the centre, with the Grand-Place around ten minutes away on foot.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Hotel Le Plaza
Le Plaza gives you old-fashioned elegance and real space without the price of the hotels on the Grand-Place. The lobby and salon are worth a pre-dinner drink even if you are staying elsewhere.
The boulevard is busy and not pretty, and the streets nearby feel more workaday than historic. If you want a view of gables or cobbled lanes from your window, this is not the place.
