The Cove Eleuthera
A headland with a small cove on each side, cottages scattered through the garden, and a pool that looks out over clear water.
Walk out of your cottage and you can pick a cove: one on each side of the headland, both small and usually close to empty. The Cove lies on the northern part of Eleuthera, the long, thin island east of Nassau.
Rooms are spread out in cottages and villas among the gardens rather than stacked in a block, and the pool faces the open sea. Days here revolve around swimming, snorkelling and a book in the shade.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose The Cove Eleuthera
We picked The Cove for real calm. Two coves on the doorstep, low buildings among the greenery and clear water for snorkelling make it a place to slow right down, and the north of the island has some of its best sights within a drive.
There is very little to do nearby, and you will need a hire car to explore. Anyone who wants nightlife, a choice of restaurants or a busy beach scene will feel isolated, and families with energetic teenagers may struggle to fill the days.
What you get
- Two small coves on the property
- Pool facing the sea
- Cottages and villas in the garden
- Gardens running down to the water
- Good base for driving the north of the island

Do you need a car at The Cove Eleuthera?
Yes, if you want to see more than the hotel. Eleuthera is long and spread out, and a hire car is the easiest way to reach beaches and sights.
Is The Cove Eleuthera good for snorkelling?
Yes. The two coves either side of the headland have clear water, and snorkelling straight off the property is one of the main pleasures here.
What is near The Cove Eleuthera?
Not much within walking distance, which is the point. A short drive away is the Glass Window Bridge, a narrow strip of rock with rough Atlantic on one side and calm turquoise water on the other.
