Rosewood Vienna
A former bank on Petersplatz with light, spacious rooms and a rooftop bar that sits almost level with the green dome of the Peterskirche.
Petersplatz is a small square just off the Graben, a couple of minutes from St Stephen's Cathedral, with the baroque Peterskirche in the middle. Rosewood occupies a former bank building on one side of it.
Inside, the look is contemporary and calm: pale rooms, generous bathrooms and plenty of space by old-town standards. The rooftop bar is the highlight, putting you eye to eye with the church dome and the rooftops of the Innere Stadt.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Rosewood Vienna
We chose Rosewood for travellers who want the heart of old Vienna without the heavy decoration. The location could hardly be more central, and the rooms give you light and room to breathe.
Prices are high, and the building lacks the century-old atmosphere of the Sacher or the Imperial. If historic interiors are what draws you to Vienna, one of the older houses will suit you better.
