Upper House Spa is on the 19th floor of Gothia Towers, with a hammam, steam and dry saunas and three pools. One is an outdoor pool with a glass floor that juts out over the city.

In the old post office by the Central Station, the Skönhetsfabriken spa has an indoor pool, an outdoor pool and a rooftop pool. It also has dry and steam saunas and is for guests aged 18 and over.

Clarion Hotel Draken stands on Järntorget, where Haga meets Linnéstaden. Obie Spa has a dry sauna, warm springs and an ice sauna where a large screen shows a frozen sea.

Hällsnäs sits on a headland in Lake Landvettersjön, about 20 minutes from the centre. The spa has a wood-fired sauna raft, an infrared sauna and two warm outdoor baths, and several suites have their own sauna.

Hjortviken in Hindås opened in 2025 on Lake Östra Nedsjön. Its Pool Club has indoor and outdoor pools covering around 1,750 square metres, and the hotel has 150 rooms.

Sankt Jörgen Park is fifteen minutes from the centre and has its own 18-hole golf course. The spa has saunas at different temperatures, a marble cellar, warm springs and floating loungers.

Nääs Fabriker
Nääs Fabriker fills a 19th-century cotton mill on Lake Sävelången in Tollered. The Badhuset spa covers 450 square metres, with a dry sauna, an aroma sauna and two outdoor pools kept at 38 degrees all year.
The rooms have high ceilings and windows facing the lake, and in summer you can swim from the jetties. Children aged 4 to 12 are welcome in the spa during the day.

Kusthotellet Styrsö
Kusthotellet Styrsö opened in summer 2025 on the island of Styrsö in the southern archipelago. Take the tram or bus to Saltholmen and the ferry on from there, and you arrive in about an hour.
The hotel has 50 rooms, a spa with steam and dry saunas, and a heated outdoor pool open all year. In winter the archipelago is quiet, and the sea is right outside.

Bathing without an overnight stay
If you only want an afternoon in the water, Hagabadet in Haga is an Art Nouveau bathhouse with warm pools, seaweed baths and saunas. By the river in Frihamnen, Bastun i Jubileumsparken is a public sauna that is free to use but must be booked in advance.
