Which part of Fuerteventura should you stay in?

The airport sits on the east coast near Puerto del Rosario. Corralejo lies to the north, Caleta de Fuste just south of the airport, and Costa Calma and Jandía at the southern end. Pick the area first, then the hotel.

  • Corralejo is the northern resort, about 40 minutes from the airport. The dunes of the Corralejo Natural Park start at the edge of town, and ferries leave for Lanzarote and the islet of Lobos.

  • Caleta de Fuste is the closest resort to the airport, about 15 km away. It has a sheltered bay, a marina and a golf course, which makes it easy with children.

  • Costa Calma lies on the south-east coast, where the Sotavento lagoon draws windsurfers and kitesurfers.

  • Jandía and Morro Jable are at the southern tip, about 70 minutes from the airport, with long beaches of pale sand.
