Best hotels in St Vincent and the Grenadines: eight places to stay on Bequia and St Vincent
Sailing boats lie at anchor in Admiralty Bay, and from the hotel terrace you look across to the next small islands in the chain. St Vincent and the Grenadines is one of the quietest island nations in the Caribbean, with small hotels, green islands and some of the clearest water in the region.

St Vincent and the Grenadines is made up of the green volcanic island of St Vincent and a chain of around 30 small islands and cays to the south. Most travellers fly into St Vincent and take a ferry or small plane on to Bequia, Mustique, Canouan or Union Island. The islands are small, quiet and little developed, and the hotels are small and personal.
We have picked eight hotels on Bequia and St Vincent and say who each one suits. All have a guest rating of at least 8.8 out of 10 and more than 50 reviews on Expedia. Our links go there, and the hotel is always chosen before the link. Several of the most exclusive hotels in the Grenadines, such as the Mandarin Oriental on Canouan and the hotels on Mustique and Petit St Vincent, had too few reviews or did not appear in our search, so they are not included. That is why this guide has eight hotels, not ten.

Bequia is the best choice for most visitors: a green island with beaches, restaurants and a lively harbour, a ferry ride from St Vincent. For all-inclusive or a short hop to the airport, stay on St Vincent. If you want to sail, start from the marinas on the south coast.
