Here, you will find lovely attractions, stunning beaches, exclusive shopping and, not least, great restaurants. The places that dot the Capri coast are known for their seafood and are definitely recommended if you find yourself travelling in that part of Italy.

1. La Fontelina di Capri - warm and cozy restaurant and beach club

La Fontelina di Capri is a popular lunch spot and luxurious beach club in a somewhat remote swimming cove, where you can enjoy a bit of privacy. You can reach it by dinghy from one of the many swimming coves on the island. Be sure to book a table or sun lounger well in advance of high season as this is a popular place. The sun loungers are located around the many small cliff plateaus adjacent to the restaurant and close to the sea. The restaurant offers Italian delicacies, fun drinks, and every conceivable variety of seafood.

2. Restaurant Pulalli - stunning views of Capri

Restaurant Pulalli is a very welcoming place with good food and excellent service in the middle of a square in Capri's old town. The restaurant is situated high up inside a narrow old building right next to the clock tower. Here, you truly feel that you're dining in the very heart of Capri. If you book early, you can get a table outside on the terrace - which is highly recommended.

3. Aurora – a favourite spot for celebrities

Located in one of the small back lanes by the alleyways of Capri's old town, Aurora is a popular restaurant with a reputation for hosting celebrities. It lists Mariah Carey, Elton John, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Leonardo DiCaprio, Katy Perry, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kim Kardashian (to name a few) among its clientele. This is a busy place with good authentic Italian cuisine in a high price range.

Located in the heart of Capri, Aurora is the oldest restaurant in the area with over 120 years of history. The restaurant has been owned by the D'Alessio family since 1900. And it´s a really warm and cozy restaurant.

4. Le Sirene Ristorante - a seaside beach bar

Ristorante Le Sirene is a friendly beach bar located right by the sea. Combine your lunch with a dip in the turquoise waters by the lovely sandy beach next door. The restaurant prides itself on its pizza oven and is great at both traditional Italian cuisine and service.

5. Pescheria Le Botteghe - the seafood expert

Pescheria Le Botteghe is very good at seafood. Every morning, the fishermen arrive at the market where the restaurant buys its ingredients. From 7 pm onwards, the place transforms into a very nice restaurant and bar, where you can stop by for both good drinks and tasty food. Expect Italian seafood in generous portions at a good price.

Note that the restaurant is small and there is little seating, so it is recommended to book in advance.

6. Gennaro Amitrano - fine dining

Gennaro Amitrano focuses on local ingredients and has an entry in the Michelin Guide. The chef strives for each dish to tell a story about the local area. Friendly and skilled waiters combined with excellent food make this a sure winner. They have both 5 and 7-course tasting menus, priced between 100-120 euros per person, with wine pairings at 50-70 euros, in addition to an à la carte menu. The portions are small but delicious. The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner and is located in Marina Piccola.

7. Conca del Sogno on the island of Positano

Positano lies about 30 minutes from Capri by boat and is definitely worth a trip. The island is the most popular one on the Amalfi Coast, and people there dress in sandals and handmade outfits in linen. A vibrant nightlife and unique shops can be found on the island.

Conca del Sogno is a lovely place, with an incredible atmosphere. This warm and cozy restaurant is located on a cliff, and white tablecloths, candles, and leafy plants provide extra warmth.
